The Ethiopian Football Federation(EFF) to announce the new coach of the Ethiopian Men’s National Team(Waliyas) in one month period.

The Ethiopia national team head coach slot has been vacant since 12th October 2016 when the five month contract of interim coach ‘GebreMedhin Haile’ expired.

Medhin took over after the Ethiopian born American coach Yohannes Sahle was sacked following unconvincing results in the AFCON 2017 Gabon qualifiers and Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Federation has changed two head coaches after the successful head coach Sewnet Bishaw was sacked.

Sewnet helped the Ethiopian national team to attend the AFCON 2013 South Africa,after 31 yrs absence of absence and to qualify for the first time to attend CHAN in 2014 in south-Africa.
