Addis Ababa – Newly promoted side Fasil Kenema (Fasil City) shocked mighty Ethiopian Coffee 1-0 as Week 3 of the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) resumes here today.
Following a scoreless first-half, Ermias Hailu scored the lone goal of the match just four minutes after the start of the second period.
It was the first victory for the newcomers from Gonder following their 1-0 loss at the hands of Sidama Bunna in the season’s opener.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian Coffee has so far collected just a single point from three matches. Following their 3-0 loss at the hands of Dedebit in Week 1, the Coffeemen were held to a 2-2 draw by Mekelakeya.
The Coffee-Fasil clash was the only EPL match of the day yesterday, with six other games taking places in various cities of the country.
