President Museveni spent the night meeting the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) commanders amid tight security at the Ugandan military at the Halane military camp in Somalia’s capital, the camp is the largest African Union Military base in Mogadishu. This is the second time Museveni is visiting Ugandan troops in Somalia since his first visit which was in November 2010.
“I thank you for helping our brothers and sisters in pacification of Somalia, and being a good example of unity,” the President said to the soldiers.
