A large quantity of marijuana was found inside a car that was involved in a car crash in Lawrence on Thursday, police said.
Police responded at 2:40 p.m. to the crash on Route 114, near Interstate 495. “A very large quantity” of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash, a stun gun and a firearm were found inside the vehicle, officers said.
Tommy Emil, 23, of Methuen, and Jayson Miguel Desoto, 19, of Lawrence, were taken into custody.
Emil and Desoto both face a variety of drug and weapons charges. They are scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Lawrence District Court.
