Man Robbed in His Own Home in the North

A 60-year-old man was robbed in his own home in Akasia, north of Pretoria, on Wednesday.

This happened in Gerhardsville around 04:00, according to police spokesperson Constable Mandlakayise Zwane.

“The victim was asleep when three suspects made their way onto his property and woke him up. The suspects, armed with knives, ordered the man to produce his valuables in the house before he was stabbed in the face.”

Zwane said the robbers ransacked the house and took cellpones and other  items valued at about R6 700.

“A house robbery docket was opened and police are investigating.”
