Four National Team Players To Train At Sporting Lisbon
Coach of the Ethiopian national football team, Marianno Barreto, in an exclusive interview says that the Portuguese League A club Sporting Lisbon has agreed to accept and train four players from the Ethiopian national side.
Speaking after the signing of a sponsorship deal between the Ethiopian Football Federation and Heineken, Barreto said the four players that will depart for Portugal on April are already selected but he has declined to provide their names. It is understood the coach himself have arranged the program for the two goal keepers and two players.
“They are going to pay nothing as all their costs are covered by the club. This is a big opportunity for the national side, especially for the goal keepers as we are having a big difficulty on that regard at the moment,” Barreto said.
