South Sudan Chaos Relapses
The situation in South Sudan has deteriorated into extended civil war as the conflicting factions failed to reach an agreement on peace deal.
The rebel leader Dr Rieck Machar signed the deal, but the president Salva Kiir did not; arguing that he needed more time to study it and only promising to do so in September.
In the interim, heavy fighting broke out in the country incurring heavy losses.
The latest reports indicated that the country’s leadership is becoming merciless as it targets foreign investments there.
Kenya and Uganda, in particular, felt deeply offended by the harsh treatment of their nationals.
The two have provided safe haven to Sudanese leaders through the difficult moments of their history.
