Foreign Minister, Dr Tedros Adhanom, makes a valediction to Josiah Ogina, Head of the International Organization for Migration of Mission in Ethiopia, on Thursday (July 30) in his offices. Dr Tedros thanked Mr Ogina for his outstanding service and reminded how he and his office stood alongside with Ethiopia in difficult times including facilitating the necessary conditions for Ethiopian returnees from Saudi Arabia.

Dr Tedros added that International Organization for Migration and Ethiopia were and are still working like one office and Mr Ogina's openness and informality put another weight to the already strong relationship.

Mr Ogina on his part offered a compliment to Ethiopia for its commitments on intensely cooperating with the IOM in migration and other related issues. The 2015 UNHCR country report profile reveals that since the beginning of 2014, Ethiopia has accepted almost 190,000 refugees who fled the ongoing conflict in South Sudan.
