Abune Zacharias Pays Church Settlement
Abune Zacharias, the former Archdiocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church Easter Gojjam has paid out a settlement of bankruptcy following his payment of building at a half-cost of 1.6 million Birr with a forged document, the Amharic Reporter stated.
The Abun (Pope) is now the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church Archdiocese of New York, the Northeast, Southeast, and Central USA. He ordered the purchase of building with a cheated document (unintentionally).
Back eight years ago, the building was intended to expand the religious service of abinet schools. Then the pope ordered a half-payment of 1.6 million Birr, unfortunately, the owner of the building fled because the document he sold the building was a forged one.
Later on, the members of Archdiocese was stood in front of court. “Our father (Abune Zacharias) ordered us to do so,” the members pleaded in court. Abune Zacharias said, “I will take the responsibility and handle it.”
