Lamamra to lead Algerian delegation to AU’s Executive Council in Addis Ababa

Minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra will lead the Algerian delegation to the works of the 30th the Executive Council and the ministerial Consultations preparatory to the 28th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), said Tuesday the ministry of foreign affairs in a communiqué.

“The president of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika designated the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra to lead the Algerian delegation to the works of the 30th session of the Executive Council and the ministerial Consultations preparatory to the 28th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Addis Ababa,” said the source.

Lamamra will also hold “political consultations with his African counterparts concerning continental and international issues on the agenda of the summit, and the ways to strengthen joint African action to promote the AU’s peace, security and development goals, in conformity with its Constitutive Act,” added the communiqué.
