ZTE invested one billion Birr to transform the technological capital of the nation
ZTE is helping transform the country’s technology by investing heavily in the country, as the earlier investor, now in its 20th year of service to the country. This year alone, ZTE partnered with the Ethiopian Education and Research Network and invested one billion Birr to transform the technological capital of the nation. This is in addition to the many types of equipment it donated, the several libraries it helped construct in the Oromia region of the country.
It has not only benefitted from government endorsements in Ethiopia but in many parts of the world such as, recently in Japan, where they are providing a Pre 5G massive Mimo for SoftBank and in Peru, where they are providing the Commercial operation of the first IP multimedia subsystem voice. In Ethiopia, they are noted for offering many, an adequate training and helping transform the telecommunication sectors in the country. In addition, work opportunities have been created for hundreds of new graduates and valuable internship offered to students.
Not only the Company but also the country, China has also been generous to the next generation of Ethiopia’s incubators and investors, by offering generous grants, scholarships, and training.
