38 Inmates have been Charged with Causing Fire at Qilinto Correctional Center

The Federal High Court has charged 38 inmates with causing a fire that burnt Qilinto correctional center, on the outskirts of Addis Ababa.

After beating 23 other inmates cruelly, they made them burn as well as caused damages to 10 million birr worth property, according to the charges filed against them.

They were also charged with trying to incite violence by exchanging information and recruiting members at the center for OLF, Ginbot 7 and Al Shabaab since January 2008EC.
