ACSI Extended 1.4 Billion Birr Loan


Addis Credit and Saving Institution (ACSI) disclosed it extended 1.4 billion Birr loan in the first 9 months of the current fiscal year.

According to Public Relations Head of ACSI, Miraf Alemayehu, the loan was distributed to more than 24,000 individuals. The borrowers were residents engaged in manufacturing, construction, trade, urban agriculture and transport sectors, Miraf explained.

The institution pays particular focus on the economic benefits of youth and women, the Public Relations Head noted. Therefore, 45.7 percent of the borrowers are women while almost 40 percent of them are youth.

The credit and saving institution was established as a share company back in 2000 with a capital of 4 billion Birr.
