Zewditu Hospital Launches Kidney Dialysis
Zewditu Memorial Hospital will launch kidney dialysis services after a month. Preparation has been finalized to begin the service, including training of health professionals, the hospital said. The hospital purchased 6 dialysis machines at a cost of 15 million birr.
A patient can get the service for not more than 500 birr.
The hospital will be able to offer dialysis service for 20 people per day when the machines go operational, Dr Daniel Abebe, Medical Director at the hospital. Currently, St. Paul Hospital offers kidney dialysis with 18 machines.
