Man Accused For Grooming 14-Year-Old Boy


A BURNLEY man has appeared in court charged with the grooming a 14-year-old boy via the internet and a subsequent sexual assault.

Samuel McLachlan, 27, of Low Bank, is accused of communicating with the teenager, not reasonably believing he was aged 16 or over, with a view to meeting him for the commission of a sexual offence.

McLachlan is also alleged to have caused or incited a boy to take part in sexual activity between June 1 and 3 last year at Padiham. He is further accused of the possession of indecent photographs.
