Ethiopia: Children’s Specialized Hospital To Be Built With 2bn Birr
A 350-bed state-of-the-art children’s specialized hospital is going to be built in Addis Ababa at a cost of 2 billion birr.
The hospital’s detailed design, scheduled to be completed next January, is being done by an experienced Dutch company, health minister, Dr Keseteberhan Admasu, told FBC. The new hospital will rest on 20,000 square meters of land in Addis Ababa Alert Hospital compound, he said.
The hospital will provide a variety of medical treatments for children, including neurosurgery, he noted. The hospital will also be a center of excellence that produces doctors who have specialized child care skills, he added.
The cost for the construction of the hospital will be covered by the government and other finance sources.(FBC).
