ATLANTA, Ga. (WJCL) — A Georgia pastor has asked that parishioners donate $60 million to buy a new plane for his ministry.

World Changers Church International based in College Park, Ga. posted a video recently requesting that donors give money to the church to buy a Gulfstream G650 airplane.

The Rev. Creflo Dollar tells of the 4 million miles logged on the church’s 1984 plane and how the new aircraft will aid in “safely and swiftly” sharing the “Good News of the Gospel worldwide.”

Dollar also shares two stories involving himself or his family in which the plane’s engine failed during flight. In both cases, the pilot was able to land and no one was harmed, but the incidents have grounded the plane for good. The church bought the airplane in 1999.

Dollar is asking that 200,000 people give contributions of $300 or more.

Gulfstream’s website records that the G650 comfortably seats 18 passengers and has 16 large panoramic windows.
