Community Burns Alleged Robber to Death

A man was burned to death by members of a community after he and three others allegedly robbed a liquor store in Ga-Mphusheng village near Lebowakgomo.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said after the men threatened and robbed the owners, the community managed to grab one of the suspects, took him to the back of the bar and “burnt him beyond recognition”.

Mojapelo said the other three suspects were arrested the next morning.

“Two of the arrested suspects are from Mamelodi and one is from Soshanguve and are aged 32, 34, and 36 respectively.”
