The Spanish group CELORRIO will build a vast vegetable canning complex in Ethiopia. This new site will have a production capacity of 80,000 tons.
After several years of research in several countries, the CELORRIO group has chosen a site near the town of Mekele which has an ideal microclimate for crops and excellent water capacity.
The plant, scheduled to be operational in September 2018, will have a built-up area of 65,000 m2 on a total area of 5,000 hectares of land. Its production capacity will be 80,000 tons.
This new unit will significantly increase the group's production, especially for canned vegetables (asparagus, chillies, artichokes)
