Mr Kemal Bedri Kelo has been chairman of the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia since November 1993.He is also the President of the Federal Supreme Court, a position he has held for 13 years.Before joining the Supreme Court, Mr Kelo worked as a High Court judge for four years.He also worked for several years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Kelo is currently the President of the Council of Constitutional Inquiry, the body which investigates constitutional disputes and submits its decisions to the House of the Federation.He is a native of the Harar region and holds an LLB from the University of Addis Ababa.
